Directions to the ANCC:
Going south on Interstate 395 toward Richmond after crossing the Potomac River from Washington: Take Exit 7, Route 120, Glebe Road. At bottom of ramp turn right on Glebe Road (Route 120 North). Proceed 0.6 mile. Turn right at corner with signs for both 17th and 18th Streets. Bear right and proceed 0.6 mile on 18th Street to Army Navy Country Club gate. Proceed straight ahead up parking lot to main club entrance. Ask receptionist for directions to Williamsburg Room (main floor).

Business Agenda: Presenting the Financial Report; prospecting for new meeting attendees; planning for the subjects of our meetings after 1/28/07; discussing hosting one or more meetings in southern VA; gathering information for the Graves Family Association (GFA); and reviewing the member location dot map.

Note: If you have not yet submitted your known Graves family genealogy information to the GFA, please let us know so we can help you get this important work done!

Program: “The Graves Families of MD and VA and the Amazing Discoveries from Our DNA Study” by Ken Graves, Wrentham, MA.
If you can only attend one Chapter meeting in 2007, it ought to be this one! Our speaker, Ken Graves, is the Founder of the GFA. Ken will talk about: “…the discoveries of relationships and ancestries, some of them completely unexpected, and some of the challenges and opportunities we now have. This would include connections between families in New England and Virginia, and the families in England. I would also like to briefly mention the June reunion in Williamsburg, and some things that can be done to help the GFA.”

There will be plenty of time for Q&A, so come join your “cousins” for a delightful afternoon of conversation, refreshments, and relaxation!

Registration:
$20.00 in advance. At-door Registration prices increase $ 5.00. Advance Registrations must be received by Friday, January 26, 2007.
Note: If you are a current GFA member and bring a new Graves-related guest to this meeting who is not yet a GFA member, neither you nor your guest will have to pay a registration fee for this specific meeting!
