GENERATION 1

Elizabeth Graves (1) was born about 1821, and died 9 June 1884 in Allen Co., KY. She married Booker Dalton, son of William Dalton and Winifred Foster. He was born in Jan. 1813 in Warren Co., KY, and died 17 May 1888 in Allen Co., KY. They were both buried in Union Chapel Methodist Church Cem., Allen Co., KY. Most of the Dalton family seem to have moved from Pittsylvania Co., VA and vicinity. All the children of Elizabeth and Booker were born in Allen Co., KY. (R‑1)

John Henry Dalton (3) was born 22 May 1844, died27 May 1912, and was buried in Union Chapel Methodist Church Cem., all in Allen Co., KY. He married Martha G. Huntsman on 12 April 1866. She was born 8 Aug. 1844 and died 22 Jan. 1913. (R‑1)

10. Andy Dalton, b. Allen Co., KY, m. ‑‑‑‑‑‑ Mitchell. An interesting family story is that he went to get a load of wood and didn't return for 12 years. He was assumed dead. After 12 years he returned home, came by the wood pile and brought in a load of wood, much to everyone's surprise. They think he had amnesia.

13. Noah Dalton, b. 26 Aug. 1877, m. Sarah Rebecca Brown, d. 10 March 1947. She was b. 31 July 1880 and d. 13 Feb. 1964.

Winnie Dalton (4) was born 17 June 1846 in Allen Co., KY, and died in 1941 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY. She married James Peter Anderson, son of Andrew Anderson and Talitha Dalton. He was born 1 June 1840, died 27 Feb. 1909 in Western Kentucky Insane Hospital, and was buried there. At least their first and last children were born in Allen Co., KY. (R‑1)

Elizabeth Cumy Anderson (14) was born 30 Sept. 1871 and died 6 Jan. 1918, both in Allen Co., KY. She was buried in Union Chapel Church Cem. She married George Washington Huntsman, son of James Huntsman and Margaret ‑‑‑‑‑‑, on 8 July 1891 in Allen Co., KY, married by Rev. Joseph Summerfield Meador. He was born 26 Aug. 1885 in Westmoreland, TN, and died 25 Aug. 1964 of cancer in Scottsville, KY. He was buried beside his first wife, Nannie Sue Mandrell, in Providence Church Cem., Sumner Co., TN. He was a General Baptist and a farmer. He was descended from Jacob Graves and Catherine Black (gen. 13). All children of Pernie and Johnnie were buried in Allen Co., KY. (R‑1)
