John H.H. Graves
has been elected president of the Luray Caverns Corp. board of
directors.
Graves takes over the position from his father, H.T.N.
"Ted" Graves, who continues as chairman of the board.
John Graves has
served on the board since 1985.
He recently
retired from the U.S. Army National Guard as a major.
A graduate of James Madison
University, Graves has 25 years in the family's business.
He represents the fourth generation of the Graves
family to hold a controlling interest in Luray Caverns.
Incorporated in
1905, Luray Caverns is the parent company of Caverns Country Club
Resort, Historic Car & Carriage Caravan and the Stalactite Café.
The company also
is the base operator of Luray
Caverns Airport.
Luray Caverns is
the eighth-most-visited attraction in Virginia and employs 200 people.
